Is this bcos MAXDB is not started

Hi

I am installing the SAP netweaver on AIX box.

The env is as follows:

1. uname -a

AIX ctsaix02 3 5 005438AD4C00

Database : MAXDB

I am getting the following error on step 20 of 23

Step 20 is "Install temporay lincense"

Could not get the System ID (SID).

Can't install a temporary license key because the system ID is unknon

How to start/check MAXDB

Hi,

you could check if your MaxDB instance is okay by looking into the (/sapdb/data/wrk/<SID>/)knldiag and knldiag.err files.

Additionally, you could try to connect to the db instance and check it's state by issueing the following command:

dbmcli -d <DBSID> -u <DBM-user>,<DBM-password> db_state

(The standard DBM-user is 'control' and its password too.)

Please check your xuser settings as described in official note <a href="https://websmp104.sap-ag.de/~form/handler?_APP=01100107900000000342&_EVENT=DISPL_TXT&_NNUM=39439 &_NLANG=EN>">39439</a>.

EDIT:

I also noticed you opened a second thread for this same issue on this forum. Was that a mistake? If yes, then please let me know, I would delete that new thread then.
