Hi,
in order to work (customizing activities) on SAP system you should be a registered user at SAP market place for that system. basis admin will do this task for you
else for user sapuser we have standered key, create user SAPUSER in su01 and work withthis user id

Please distinguish between <u>customizing</u> (where no SAP Software Change Registration (SSCR) key is required) and <u>development</u> activitities (where you need a SSCR key).

Hi Varalakshmi,
Whenever you are going to change\create program(or)object it will ask access key.Because SAP is highly secured ERP.
Here we have two types objects
<b>Repository objects(A to X)
Customer specific objects(Y to Z)</b>
When you are changing the program\objects it starts with(<b>A to X</b>) means you have to registered as a developer in SAPNet and you required a object access key
When you are changing\creating the program\objects it starts with(<b>Z to Y</b>) means you are not required object access key,But u have to registered as a developer in online service system(oss).
After registered as a developer u will get access key. This will be provided by SAP BASIS consultant.
If u have any querys post it

hi,
is it necessary to have separate access keys for each and every object that i need to edit?
11-20-2007 1:56 PM
no, you would just need one developerkey per developer and install it.
once you are assigned to a developerkey, you will not need to type it in anymore everytime you're editting.
