Hi,
I have SAP ECC6 freshly installed, and I want to run SGEN to compile, but I keep getting a runtime error. The program Times out, or exceeds the time limit or maximum permitted runtime of 600 seconds. I do believe it is a performance issue, processing or memory.
Is it possible to increase the number of seconds or the time limit for the runtime? How is it done?
Regards,
Lee
Try changing rdisp/max_wprun_time in RZ10.

Hi Lee,
instead of selecting all the Objects for SGEN select only BASIS & APPL related object and run SGEN as background job. after successful execution of this background then schedule for the rest of the objects.
please see that you sufficent free space & btc processes.
you need not change this parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time" as it is related to dialog work process but not BTC.
with Br,
Rajesh.

Hi,
you have two option
most recomended is schedule in background
secondly and not recomended and change the parameter rdisp/max_wp_runtime>4500sec
even though you scedule in background progress can be monitered in sgen then there is no point scheduling online(or dialog) mode.
