"Related Integration Server" dropdown list is blank.

Dear all,

I am very new to XI and I've been trying to configure my business system.

Details of my configuration:

1. Technical System type: Third-Party

2. Selected a previously created Technical System (Type: Third-Party)

3. The SWC and products were successfully added to the business system.

4. Business System Role: Application System

Problem:

No integration server is available in the drop-down for "Related Integration Server".

Is this normal? Did I do something wrong?

Please help.

Hi,

Is this a new XI installation? Because, the Related Integration Servers should give a list of the Integration Servers registered on the SLD.!

Your admin would have created a Business System of Type Integration Server (or something of that Sort) and after doing that, the list should show a list of Integration Server.

But, You can go ahead with your Business System creation and can change this value later when you are configuring the Transport Targets!

Check whether you have created a tech system for XI system?

If not create that first and the specify the role as Integration server.

I have a technical system of type "XI Integration Server", Domain "ootspdbs02".

My technical system "TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS" is on "ootspdbs02" as well.

But I cannot see this option "Related Integration Server" in the dropdown when defining my business system.

Hi,

Can you check if there is a Business System for the Tech system TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS?

If it is not there you can create one and specify the Role as Integration Server.

There is no Business System for TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS.

I am trying to create the Business System for TS_NAUTICUS_OOTS, but when I come to the screen where I have to select the role of the business system, the role is pre-defined to "Application System" and the field is disabled and I cannot change it.

What did I miss?

Hi,

While creating the Business System, you will be asked to fill a parameter <b>Business System Role</b>. You will find a drop down for this parameter value, select it and choose Inegration Server. By default it will have the value Application System.

I see this field (Business System Role) on Step 5 of the Business System Wizard, but it is disabled - I cannot edit this field.

Hi,

Check the Technical System type: Web as ABAP & Web as Java has created or not ..this will create by default when you do the settings in RZ70 other wise create the Web AS ABAP - Technical system to Idendify your XI Server .

Then create the Web AS JAVA - Technical system to Idendify your XI Server .

Create the Business system using above Technical System..give the name of Business system your SID name..now when you create any Business systemm related integration Server will appear.

Here is my setup:

Existing Technical System:

PI1 on ootspdbs02 --> Type Web AS ABAP

PI1 on ootspdbs02 --> Type Web AS Java

Integration Server on ootspdbs02 --> Type XI Integration Server.

Newly created Technical System:

TS_Nauticus_OOTS on ootspdbs02 --> Type Third Party

Newly created Business System:

Type: Third Party

Technical System: TS_Nauticus_OOTS on ootspdbs02

Logical System Name: null

Name: BS_Nauticus_OOTS

Products installed: Product_Nauticus_OOTS

Software component: SWC_NAUTICUS_OOTS

Business System Role: Application System (Disabled field)

Related Integration Server: <<No IS to choose from dropdown>>

Please help.
