Printer Installation on ECC6

We are using user's printer for the SAP Printing whose printer has been shared on network and also I had been defined the users printer in the SAP by the SPAD

Device attributes

device class standard printer

Access Method

Host spool access method F: printing on Frontend computer

Host Printer _default

Whenever our users try to print, print out hold on the spool sperver. if i try to print manually "name of frontend printer not found, using default printer"

there are lot printer in our company. i don't want to install all printer on server,

Does zhp1320 printer should be installed on IDES server ?

Hi

For front-end printing check in ECC6 wether you have the latest version of SAP GUI and SAPLPD installed on the front-ends.The newest versions have the same version number as your SAP release.

Check if you have mentiones proper device type (Eg: SWIN)

If you have a windows terminal server setup go for access method G
