HI
i have 2 instances on a single host (DEV and SOL).Unexpectedly Solution Manager(SOL) stopped working.When i try to login as oraSID..i get a message saying
[root@smlsapdev SOL]# su - orasol
su: user orasol does not exist
So what i have to do inorder to start the instance(SOL).
Immediate response in appreciated

Are you trying to log in to the server where Solution manager is installed or you are trying to login to your DEV server ? Please double check

How come u lost that user check /etc/passwd and other files.Might be u r typing with diffnt name.
I am not once u recreate user again and assign same groups and id and then u can try for start SOL.Try this recreateing with same details before.
Before that check completely for user traces.
