file to rfc via proxies

while sending data from file to rfc i followed the link

but i have a small doubt i the receivers communication channel that we created wuisn xi adapters Target Host,service number andpath . do they belong to R/3 system or they are of xi engine.

i have the same doubt with authentication data.

Simple. Got to R/3 and T-code is SM59. here you will find a connection to XI server. Here you can get all the details you require.

You can find the RFC detination in the column "HTTP Connection to R/3 System". Here you will find a RFC destination. Check this...

service number 80<systemNumber> of R/3

pathprefix: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry (if receiver is on WAS 6.40)

pathprefix: /sap/xi/engine?type=receiver (if receiver is on WAS 6.20)

Hi,

In case of receiver cc,

target Host : receiver R3

Service: give service no. prob 8000

path: /sap/xi/engine?type=entry

Give username and password for receiver r3
