Hi,

We have migrated from EP 6.0 to EP 7.0.

I have assigned all the properties in Windows -> Preferences. But still when i try to deploy my application, it is showing deployment aborted error as "cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly!!" How to configure it?

Kindly help me.

Thanks & Regards,

Dhana

Hi,

It may be due to wrong message server port in SAP J2EE Engine setting in developer studio. Message server ports for NW2004 and NW2004S are different. I think its 3901. Please check with your administrator.

Thanks,

Rajit

Hi,

Actually we are using NW04 and EP 7.0 and not NW04s.

I have tried 3901 also, but in J2EE engine view, below the root node of Remote Engine, No node is getting displayed (SDM, Server0, etc..)

Kindly provide me the solution.

Thanks & Regards,

Dhana

Go to http://<servername:port>/index.html

Click on System informattion -> login with administrator and passowrd.

there you will find full details about server and port number(message server port and enqueue server).

Hi,

Check if you can ping the server from your desktop. Find the fully qualified domain name of the server and make an entry in hosts file (Windows\System32\drivers\etc).

Thanks,

Go to Window->ShowView_>other->J2EE->J2EE Engine.

It should show the instances in "GREEN".

Otherwise check the port number as mentioned in prev post.
