Memory Low

We have installed two instances(R/3) on same OS with RAM size of 4GB.When user tries to open multiple sessions ,message saying "Memory Low: Leave the transaction before taking a break" is coming.

i guess the problem could be with Extended memory .Tell me the procedure to increase the extended memory size.

PHYS_MEMSIZE = 512.

I have checked ST02

Tell me the procedure to overcome the issue.

Hi Ganesh Reddy,

Can you confirm that this is a 32-bit Windows instance and that you are following recommendations of note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/88416">88416</a> if so. Why is PHYS_MEMSIZE = 512? It seems a coincedence that this is set to the same value that em/address_space_MB is as default.

The message warning means that extended memory is exhausted for this process and that it has started using heap (note <a href="http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/116042">116042</a>). I will await your clarification and then make further suggestions.
