Installation Problem: SAPNW2004sABAPTrail

I have downloaded "SAPNW2004sABAPTrail" 02 files from the SDN and trying to install on my computer with following specs:

Processor: Celeron 1.7 GHz

Memory: I GB

Free HD Space: 38 GB

I am getting the following error message:

"could not utilize start class: com.installshield.wizard. Wizard"

Java version "j2sdk-1_4_2_12-windows-i586-p" was installed on my system.

I have removed the java-sdk from my system but still having the same problem.

Can someone help me ?

Hi,

Download the latest jdk , i have java version "1.5.0_09" and its working for me.

I was able get rid of the previous error, I suspect that my virus scan program was interfering. But now am getting the following error:

"The wizard detected an already existing SAP system NSP on this host. Uninstall first."

I could not find any installed system on my machine.

Error code = 601 during installation or ' The wizzard has detected an already existing SAP system…. '.

Due to a timing problem it is possible that an installation error ' Expected service (SAPNSP_00) is not currently running... Error code = 601, services failed to start ' occurs. In that case there remain some entries in the registry that don't allow a further installation. Each time an installation is started the wizzard checks first the registry for existing SAP systems. In case that there are entries from an previous installation this installation has to be removed before running the NSP installation. This is normaly done by running the uninstaller. In case there is none you have to remove the ' sapdb ' and the 'SAP' directory and for the registry you can get help from the clean-up tool . With that tool you can remove all entries from the registry that are made by the installation of the NSP system. Download and unpack the file and have a look at the ReadMe.txt for detailed instructions. After removing the entries from the registry start the installation one more time and leave the PC without running any further application.

The clean-up requires the RFC library on the PC which is automatically installed if the SAP GUI is installed (which is recommended anyway). Within the download of the clean-up tool there is required RFC library.

Hi,

I searched the list as I have problems with installation as well and would need the clean-up tool as there remained entries in the registry. As the tool seems to be corrupted (I tried to get it work without success, too) can anybody send me an link to a correct working clean-up tool?

and got the same error .

Any other suggestion ?
