SAP R/3 4.6C with Oracle 9.2 on Windows 2003-Server

Hi,

I need to find out whether it's possible to install SAP R/3 4.6C

with Oracle 9.2 on a Windows 2003 - Server.

Is is only possible to install this sap-system with Oracle 8.1.7 on a Windows 2000-Server? Or are there some other ways?

If no, please tell me the possibilities for the correct installation of the desired sap-system.

46C SR2, 9i and win2k3 will work (only on 32bit!)...have a look at pam (product availability matrix) and sapnote n° 578.131; plz use kernel 46D_EXT when installing...oracle 817 is no longer supported by oracle/sap...

SAP R/3 4.6C with Oracle 9.2 is also supported on 64 Bit IA64 Windows 2003 AND with Oracle 10.2 on X86_64 Windows.

Especially the last combination is the one I would like to recommend if you have actual hardware.

okay. But our executives alleged to install SAP R/3 4.6C SR2 with Oracle 9.2 on 32 Bit Windows 2003. But there are really a lot of troubles with this installation.

The installation of Oracle ist finished.

But the SAP-Installation stoppes at 55% with the following log:

It seems to me very curious that the installation requires ORADIM80 in E:\oracle\ora92\BIN\. ORACLE_HOME ist set to H:\oracle\A46\920. And there's only "ORADIM.EXE" in the BIN-directory.

The error shows that the old installtiona tool was being used (ORADIM80 is meant for Oracle 8).

You should obtain the latest INSTTOOLS from SAPNet for Oracle 9.2.
