Hi,

SGEN runs via a Batch job, which means that it writes it's log to that batch process log.

In order to view that log you need to figure out the time and date that the SGEN ended.

Then you can go to the following directory on OS level to find the job log:

/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/

In the "global" dir you have a few job directories that hold job log files. According to the date and time that you determined already find your job log file.

The job log file is not very easy to understand. It's better to view this log through SM37.

If you want to understand the job log file you can comapre it to the job log in SM37.

Enjoy

Best Regards
