Smartform issue. Plz help.

Hi there,

I have a smartform developed in Development server at offshore. On executing it there, it works fine and gives a decent output. But, when I am testing the same from onsite it displays junk.

Is it due to different local printer config or something? Please advice.

Most likely it's LOCL printer issue. Ask basis folks to define a printer with accessmethod set to front end printing and device type set to PCL device type. when printed using that printer, both u and offshore folks get similar output.

Hi Sanjana,

Please make sure that the SAP GUI at oniste is correct. Are they getting junk o/p for any "new" form outputs.

We had this problem solved by installing a higher verison of GUI.

Also, check the OSS for this.

Hi,

Usually, printing issues are encountered if one tries to print from the same printer accessing as LOCL or through Network. One might get a good output through LOCL, but can face a problem if the printer is accessed through Network. Sometimes it could be the other case. In any case it is the problem with the printer configuration. Try to consult your Basis team regarding this.

u check whether u have changed the smartform generated func module to

call function ssf_func_module and call func fm_name.

then only it will work or else wen transported frm devserver to prod server it will not work
