Cannot connect to the server

Hi all,

We have installed WebAS 6.40 SP15. For first few months (5-6) it was working very fine. But now we encountered one problem. We cannot connect to it from any other machine may be it a Java stack or ABAP stack. But we cann connect to it from the same machine where it is installed.

As we are trying to connect to the ABAP stack of it, give the error saying Time out. It describes a components calle "Network Interface" and a module "nixxi_r.cpp". Can anyone please help us in this issue.

You have to add an entry like this if missing to the file /Windows/System32/drivers/etc/services:

sapdp<sysno> 32<sysno>/tcp.

Also in SAPGUI from any PC, you have to enter the complete server name in APP server columns like host.domain.com, you can alsp enter the ip address of the server.

If there is a firewall problem, you have to allow hosts to connect to the server by giving them permission in the saprouttab file of the saprouter.
