Hello Frank,
1) If you are SAP customer, please review SAP Note No. 129352.
-> Do you have DBMGUI tool installed on your PC? What version?
-> What type of the complete data backup do you have?
-> What is the version of the target & source database?
< Check in the knldiag file or run dbm command 'show version'. >
2) at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb -> Database Administration Tutorial
-> Restoring Database Instances
And http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb -> MAXDB library -> Basic Information
-> Concepts of the Database System -> Administration -> Backing Up and Restoring
-> Backing Up Log Entries -> < Restoring the Database Instance >
You will see the documents with steps/examples/tools to use on the topic
how to import a complete data backup.
3) Please also see the documents/information at http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb
