I want to integrate RFID with Only XI. I want to know what are the middleware systems we can use other than AII.

In Brief,

Without Using AII what you need to take care is your Rfid Implementation should

pass the data in Either an xml /flat file format then using XI(Which indeed is a middleware) you can map the data accordingly and then using Either IDOC/RFC get the data into SAP R/3.

In my demo application I was using the IDOC method.This paper explains the similar scenario for a toll collection application using XI as middleware.

Hi,

Without AII, you can use a java application to read the tags fom device controller and pass the tag reads to XI.

Hi Bhardwaj,

Basically the RFID data from the tag reach AII through a Reader.

Once the tag data was read and interpreted by AII it can be communicated to arious other SCM products such as EM and backend ERP through XI.

Does that answer your doubt or you have any specific scenario in mind.
