UNIX 10g Upgrade?

Former Member

In the document "Upgrade to Oracle Database 10g Release2 (10.2): UNIX" on Page 13, it says:

"1. Download the latest version of dbsl (dboraslib.so, dboraslib.sl, or dboraslib.o) for your release from the SAP Service Marketplace at: service.sap.com/swdc"

My questions are:

1) Where in the web page service.sap.com/swdc do I get these files?

2) What do I do with them after I download them?

Those files are part of the SAP kernel, just download & apply the latest kernel for your release of SAP (both the OS dependant and DB dependant parts).

the files you are looking for (oracle dbsl) is on service.sap.com/patches under the kernel you are using (4.6D_EXT or 6.40)

SAP Note 19466 is what you are looking for

in short - get the dboraslib.sar, extract it into $DIR_LIBRARY with sapcar while SAP WEBAS is down and then start it up again, check in TX SM51 -> release notes if you are using the new dbsl
