How does ESS, MSS update HR master data? Via BAPI?

Hi, all.

i'm a little bit experience developer with Web Dynpro Java, but a beginner

to HR.

With ERP 2005 ESS, MSS + EP 2004s, how does ESS, MSS WD java pages

update HR master data(infotypes) or ERP?

Via BAPI or Remote Enabled Function module? Or built function module(newly

developed RFM for xSS) which wrapped batch input? If BAPI or RFM is an answer, please tell me what they are.

The reason why i'm curious is that many HR consultants prefer using batch input

technique in ABAP until now and i wanted to know how ESS, MSS implemented

this kind of problem.

Hi,

ESS,MSS uses Remote enabled function modules to update HR master data.

What more info do u need?

Could you tell me what those Remote enabled function modules are? The name of RFM.

There are hundreds of RFMs used. Can i know which functionality you want to achieve so that i can tell you the relevant RFM.

Well, usual situation is create, update, delete data of infotypes.

Let me summarize my questions.

1. So, are there enough RFMs for infotype manipulation without depending

on the batch input technique?

2. Why do many HR consultants insist on batch input technique even though

there are already RFMs? Just from their old experience?

3. And what are RFMs for infotype manipulation like infotype 001, 002 etc.
