JDI Config. and UME

Hello,

From the Installation of JDI document(version 1.39 - December 22, 2004) page 11, when I try to set up Privileges, Roles and Groups (from UME, with J2EE_ADMIN rights) I was getting message like "Could not create group because adapter is configured as read-only" while creating new group JDI.Administrators.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Immy.

Hi Immanuel,

Is your user store an ABAP system or ldap ? If it is the ABAP system, create the users and group in the backend system. If it is ldap, then go to the config tool and use the read write profile, so that the UME can write to ldap.

Hello Abdul,

Thanks for your reply. I am not using LDAP. Could you please explain me how to create users and groups from backend (ABAP) system.

Regards,

Immanuel.

If you go to User management within the ABAP stack you can not use the Group names that are used in the documentation because the names are too long. Will this make a difference down the line? When do the user changes in the ABAP stack get transferred to the Java stack?
