Hi All,

We have two tools used in ID, namely,

1. configuration assistant,

2. business scenario configurator

Can anyone tell the difference between them ..

Mona,

If you maintain your Integration Scenario in the repository with the Actions , Connections , etc... then Configuration Wizard will take you through a wizard to create the ID objects .... automatically

That case you do not need to create the objects manually...

However I do not use it and prefer to create the objects manually .. and also in XI3.0 there is a bug in the wizard for the sender agreement creation and you have to delete and create the sender agreement manually....

Himadri,

Thanks for the quick response.

Using configuration wizard we can create the ID objects quickly but what is the use of configuration assistant. When do we use it ? Do we use both configuration assistant and configuration wizard in general scenarios..

Hi Mona,

If you are referring to config assistant of ID then I guess it is same as Configuration Wizard...... For my version PI7 I have only OCnfig wizard....

If this is not the case then please let me know....

As for the usage it depends on the developer ... The choice is yours if you want to use it or not.... I do not use it myself .... and prefer to create objects manually ..

Cheers,

Himadri
