Heterogeneous system copy

Long Text

I've made an heterogeneous system copy from Windows NT 4.0, SQL Server

7.0 and SAP R/3 4.0B to Windows 2003, SQL Server 2000 and SAP R/3 4.0B.

I've used the kernel 4.0B_COM.

The process has finished OK, and after that I start the system. But in

the transaction SICK appears the message :

OS release Windows NT 2 5 PENTIUM is not supported with this kernel

(40B).Severe problems were detected during initial system check.

Please, do not use that system before fixing these

problems.

But I've confirm in the service.sap.com/platforms that this kernel is

supported.

Thank's in advanced

When you change from Windows NT 4.0 + SQL Server 7 to Windows 2003 + SQL Server 2003 is considered heterogeneous system copy. The kernel 4.0B_EXT doesn't exist for SQL Server.

My level pacth is 4.0B_COM (Patch 8xx).

hi, did you import any support packages for sqlsrv2k?

your current patch level for disp+work.exe seems to be too low: 1.066 is the latest, so this would be appropriate to implement.

just to be curious: why did you do (or were forced to) a heterogeneous system copy? standard sap procedure for sqlsrv?

a) you made a <b>homo</b>geneous system copy (no change in os and/or db)

b) are you sure about 40B_COM? what about 40B_EXT?

c) which level has the 40B_COM?
