SAP GUI component add on patch levels

Former Member

Hi

does anyone know how to identify what the installed front end component patch levels are?

If I use the information on the sap logon pad, the patch level displayed refers (I think) to the overall SAP GUI for Windows patch.

I am specifically looking for which BW Add on patch has been installed to determine if a patch update recommended by a SAP Note is required or not.

Thanks

Hayley

Hayley,

You can quickly run the BW checker, which will tell you the BW patch level, or download SAPVER, which will tell you a little more information. There is also a table maintained in R/3 on all the BW clients used in the Early Watch reports, but it will take me a while to remember where I put the information.

The default location for the BW checker is c:\Program Files\sap\frontend\bw\sapbexc.xla

SAPVER is attached to Note # 526199.
