Can't find library jperflib (libjperflib.a or .so)

Installation of solution manager 4.0 on AIX 5.3.

At installation time, phase UME configuration, following error message appears:

ERROR 2006-12-12 16:40:15

PerfTimes : loadNativeLayer: loading jperflib failed. Can't find library jperflib (libjperflib.a or .so) in sun.boot.library.path or java.library.path

The manual says to stop and start the installation but this is not helping.

Can anybody help ?

The problem was caused by the oracle listener. the sapinst is starting the listener as follows:

- lsnrctl start

We have however another name for the listener and we need to start the listener with

lsnrctl start LISTENER<SID>

Once the listener was started normally, the problem disappeared.
