Hi,

To send an Idoc from R3 to XI,

1. You need to create an RFC destination for XI on the SAP system in SM59

2.You would need to create a port in SAP system using the transaction we21 pointing to XI, this would use the RFC destination created in Step 1.

3. You would also need to create the partner profile in We20 and add the outbound entry for the idoc in this .

While sending the idoc in we19 this will act as the Receievr Port. The senderr Port will be SAP+SYSID of your SAP system.

Ramesh,

If you are new to SDN, you can post the result / analysis inside a new post rather than edit the new post. This way it makes readability easier.

Also, I have not been able to follow the issue now, so can you repost the problem in a new post in the same thread. What the problem now is?

Hi,

Try this...

Control Record :

Sender : Port = SAP036 ; Partner = 036CLNT090

Receiver : Port = <Port created in WE21> ; Partner = <Partner created in we20>

Also, the business system for R/3 which is created in SLD should have Logical system name as 036CLNT090

Uma

hi uma,

thanks for your reply..

as you said sender port is SAP036 ,( is it mean that i need to create it in IDES)

but here as i know sender should be IDES port which is XI_00_800 or some naming convention change..

am i right?

i am giving details like this

receiver :port = < port created in idx1> partner = <we20 of XI sys>

sender : port < we21 of IDES > partner =< we20 of IDES>

Now tell me clearly what and where to change..

Hi,

These are the required steps for IDoc to File scenario...

In R3 (i.e., your IDES system)...

RFC dest to XI (sm59) - any name

Logical system (bd54) - any name

Port to XI (we21) - any name

Partner profile for the logical system (we20) - use Logical system name created in bd54

In XI...

RFC dest to R3 (sm59) - 036CLNT090

Port to R3 (idx1) - SAP036

create metadata for the idoc (idx2)

In sld...

create business system for R3 with Logical system name as 036CLNT090

and give in control record as

Sender : Port = SAP036 ; Partner = 036CLNT090

Receiver : Port = <Port created in WE21> ; Partner = <Partner created in we20>

Hi,

In partner profile (we20), add the IDoc in Outbound Parameters tab. Give the receiver port which is created in we21.

Check in we02 transaction of R/3 and IDX5 transaction in XI system.

In the idoc control record you are selecting the wrong sender port...Specify the correct port from the system you are sending... in we19.

Hi,

Small check,

In your previous post sender port is given as SAPO36, i think it should be SAP036.

Hi Ramesh,

Status 37 means : " IDoc added incorrectly ; Entry in outbound table not found"

All these refers to Partner profile which is maintained in we20. Check the outbound parameters once again. Check for correct basic type, Receiver port and message type. Select Transfer IDoc immed.

Check the receiver port and partner no. in control record. It should be same as port created in we21 and partner created in we20.

Hi ramesh,

As u r facing problem in sending idoc from we19..Plz do the following

Asuming u have done all the settings required both in R/3 n XI as the other friends explained before.

Login to we19, Enter ur idoc number and execute

Just click on control record ( EDIDC ) u will get a popup and make sure that u have entries in RECEIPIENT AND SENDER tabs.for port, partner number ,and partner type.

And make sure that they are the correct entries.

Also check the logical system assigned for the client that u are using is not changed.TCODE : SALE

Hi,

Steps to do ALE Configuration with respect to IDOC:

Configuration in R/3:

1. Create a RFC destination using Transaction = SM59

2. Create the ports using we21 and refer the port to the created RFC dest in above Step.

3. Create a Logical System using Transaction BD54.

4. Create a partner profile using transaction WE20.

Also need to configure in XI:

1. Create a RFC destination using Transaction = SM59

2. Create the ports using Transaction IDX1 and refer the port to the created RFC dest in above Step.

3. The port has to be displayed in the IDX2 transaction and we should be able to view the idoc’s which we imported through integration repository otherwise we have to manually import the idoc’s from IDX2 using the port created above

Also refer to the link below for further details:

Hi,

In we19, the control record fields are very important.

the sender fields (port and partner ) should refer to the port (created in IDX1 of XI system : SAP<SysID>) and logical system name of XI.

The receiver fields port and partner should refer to port (created in we21 of R/3) and partner (created in we20 of R/3).

The port created in we21 od R/3 should have a RFC dest in R/3 which points to XI.

Careate and RFC destination in SM59 to connect to XI system from your R3 system.

And Maintain Receiver port in WE21 and give the RFC destination of your XI system here.

Hi Sree,

IDOC to File

R3 system.

1. Create SM 59 RFC destination to XI,.

2. We21 - Create port to XI.

3. We 20 -- Maintain Partner Profile for the outbound Idoc.

XI SLD

1. Create technical system for R3 system

2. Create Business System for the Client of the R3 system.
