it seems to be File Adapter supports for all QOS -BE,EO,EOIO..
is that not a right assumption?
thanks-GS
HI,
The QOS is inherited from the Integration server...that is why it is there in the dropdown...
For the case of file BE does not make sense since File Adp is Asynchronous.. .. however we can select BE from dropdown ... not sure what will happen that case.. probably it will simply follow EO...
However that case SAP probably need to revisit the help link....

Himadri

Hi All,
Even i didn't understand what they mean by BE in file adapters context.According to link, file adapter supports BE. If we assume that file adpater supports BE with the help of a BPM then all the adapters supports the same. Do we have to assume all of them supports BE?

but he was confused since the question was asked in XI certification..I think we need to take this to SAP.. anybody would prefer to get the answer from them, pls

Hi Guys,
I have a slightly different view here.
File systems, are capable of sending system acknowledgements.
So, when we set the QOS to BE, aren't we are indicating to the file system, to send us back a system ack?
I might be wrong, but the BE in the adapter QOS kind of makes sense this way!

Smitha.
File Adapter Supports only Asynch. But in library SAP mention it supports BE,EO/EOIO.
Adapters which support EO/EOIO is async.
Adapters which support Best Effort is sync.
According this file does not support BE.

Hi,
To be frank, even though the File adapter does show a QOS of BE ( Best Effort) , it does not support synch processing.
