SAPPRDDB user can't login

Hello All,

Please help me on this issue.

SAP ECC 5.0 on Win2003 & SQL Svr 2000. Scenario. Setting up Disaster recovery server from PRD. An SQL dump from the PRD is taken and sent to the DRS at a different location and restore the DB from dump. So initially, the System did not come up as the SAPServicePRD user not in domain and could not login. Created the user in the domain and the DB, Central services instance came up. But the CI while coming up is shutting down as the SAPPRDDB usr, is not able to login into the db - from the logs.

can you guys suggest to recover from the situation. Please let me know if need any other info.

thanks in advance.

Vijay.

Hello,

when you setup a recovery server you should run the SAP Tools for SQL Server after you attached / restored the database. This tool will check all DB user and fix them as necessary. You can find the tools via note 683447. For a recovery server you have to choose the migration (system copy) option as it is nothing else than a homogenous system copy.

Best regards
