After many Re-Installation, The install is success, I´ve install SAPGUI and I´m able to connect on my SAP instance, however I still have problem , I use the user SAP* and it seems that the user is restricted so I´m not able to create any user ( the same with DDIC ). I´m not able to install J2EE engine administrator as well. How can I administrate users, etc ...

Thanks in advance

hi everyone,

do you know how to apply the patchset 10.2.0.2 to base version 10.2.0.1? Is the patchset not required if base version is 10.2.0.1 before proceeding with the installation of the Netweaver DVD? I don't see a patch for 10.2.0.1 on service marketplace.

thanks in advance

Hello,

You can download the patch Oracle 10.2.0.2 from marketplace. pl refer https://websmp206.sap-ag.de/instguides --> Other Documentation --> database upgrade --> oracle --> and select the appropriate document. Also refer Note 871735.

you can refer service.sap.com/pam for SAP matrix.

Try to change the listener service to automatic start and resume the installation again.

For the Oracle 10 set the listener service to manual start by default.

Hi David,

As of my knowledge, NW2004-SAPINST is supported only with Oracle 9i, So you have to complete the installation with oracle 9i.

If you want to use 10G, Check the DB Upgrade Guide and proceed with it.

http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=00200797470000065880&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&;

Good Luck.

make sure, you started all the SAP and oracle services and no service is in error.

Also, try to restart your system and try again.

Always use SAP resommended userid for installation.

Hello,

Thanks for your answers, so now a question, should it solve my problem, if I download the packages for Oracle 9 ? As my Installation failed with error on the log "Cannot connect to database, TNS:Protocole Adpater Error" the variables are set, I haven´t got other database, so I'm pretty sure this is related to the listener configuration. I will download the packages tonigh and try to install SAP tomorrow. I'll let you know what will happen ...

Thanks again

Hi David,

In oracle10.2 we need to configure listner explicitly it is not configured automatically as in the case of oracle9

Hi,

Status unknown is not a problem,

Even i get the same message from my DB, send me the error or problem you have.

I think your Listener is fine. go ahead and do the next steps.

Thanks
