Web service time-out

Hi all.

How do I change the time-out period when calling a web service?

At the moment I get a 'Read timed out' when calling a web service that doesn't return a result after about 60 seconds.

Regards,

Jacob

Can you specify how you're consuming the web service? ABAP, Web Dynpro, others? On which platform?

Hi Eddy.

I consume the web service in a Portal Application. The web service is defined in the portalapp.xml file as a service.

The platform is EP 6.0 SP09 on WAS 6.40 SP09

I also am having a problem with a Web service client timeout. I don't see any error messages on the server. Did you find and answer for this?

you can use parameter "XMBWS.Timeout" of the default adapter module to increase the time out.
