Attaching a document in SAP...

Hi All,

In FB03 t-code (Document display line items), there is one option to create an attachment. Here you can attach a file(pdf, xls or etc..) from your local workstation to sap.

Do anyone know, where this document gets saved in server or at sap level, when it is attached, so when whoever views it, it displays.

Please help me in this regard.

Thanks in advance.

I think it is stored on the Business Document Server either in XML or archived format..

Thanks suresh,

What is that business document server and where we can find. Is it a seperate server or it is inside the server where the instance is present.

Can you please explain me in detail regarding this.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Suresh,

Thanks for your help.

I have a query.. If we are attaching any document on a daily basis (just an imagination), will this affect the system or server storage space and what impact will be on that.

Thanks in advance,

Sailesh K
