Error in activating HTTPS service

Hi all,

We have ECC 5.0 based system on which I have exposed one RFC as a web service. I want to use this web service" with HTTPS protocol.

1) When I try to activate the HTTPS service through SMICM, I get the error -

<b>operation failed (rc=1)</b>

I guess 'rc' stands for return code. Any ideas why this happened ?

2) While creating the web service from RFC through wizard, I had kept the basic authentication only. Do I need to select Secure mode there ?

Thanks Abhy. I was not sure whether crypto libraries are must for enabling HTTPS.

Anyways, I will try this and revert if required.

Hi Shankar ,

Before you can use Https protocols with the wevservices, u need to have SSL configured on the server.
