REALLY URGENT: Calling BAPI with Visual Composer 700.09

Hello Experts, hello Modeling People,

I'm a total newbie to the Visual Composer and need some advice. I want to connect the solution manager via VC to the Enterprise Portal, but i can just find the WebService in the system ( if i create one over a wsdl file in the Portal) . If i create a dedicated system i can't call no bapi.

Do you know what i have to do to receive the bapi from the solution manager or how i have to integrate the solman system in the portal to call the bapis?

Greetings Phil

Hi Philip,

You should create the solution manager as system in the portal.

The important thing here is that you create solution manager as 'R3 system'.

Visual composer can only call bapi's or function modules from system in the portal system landscape of type R3 system.

In the portal, go to system administration -> system landscape -> systemlandscape -> right click to create new system.

The field 'system type' should be set to SAP_R3.

Please assign points if this solved your problem,

hello filip,

i 've created a solution manager system in the portal according to your instruction but the vc doesn't find it. It only shows the WebService Systems, i have created. Do i need to customize something? I have downloaded the Developer Trial from SDN. The version of the VC is:

GML Version: 700.9.0027

Client Version: 700.9.0.1

Flex Version: 700.9.0.1

Portal Content Version: 700.9.0.1

Portal Connector Version: 700.9.0.1

Do you have an idea?

Greetings and thx Philipp

Hi Philip,

If you now go to 'Find Data' in the visual composer, which systems do you then see under 'select system' in the field 'system'.

Do you see the system you just created ?

Do you see other systems coming from your portal landscape?

Hello Filip,

i have connected the solution manager to the portal as a

Dedicated System --> R/3

Dedicated System --> CRM

WebService --> WSDL is download on the portal system

I've on my solution manager the "sap all" rights and mapped my SolMan User to the my user in the Portal.

In the visual composer i just find the systems i created as a WebService System and not as a Dedicated System.

I can't call any other system. Do i need to connect a system with a connection string, don't i?

If i click on Find Data in the VC, i only get the WebService Systems. I delete the temp internet file in the ie6 and in the mozilla 2.0. I have no clue where problem is located.

Thx for your help so far....

greetings philipp

Hi Philipp,

In the configuration of your system, under display type 'system aliases', you should enter an alias.

This alias is the one that should be visible in the visual composer.

Under display 'connection tests' you can test the connection to your backend system.

You should also map your userid to the system alias in useradmin of the portal.

Hi Filip,

i received a successful connection test with the system and the system alias is already set . On this system i connected via SAP GUI and ITS in the Portal.

I don't know where the mistake could be?!!??

Thx Philipp

Have you assigned the proper roles to your user?
