I am new to sap-xi,

How many adapters are available in xi.

which adapters are impartant in real time.

HI

Adapter is an important concept in XI.Adapter provides connectivity between the XI runtime and the enterprise information systems.

There are a number of adapters.

1.RFC

2.File

3.IDOC

4.JDBC

5.HTTP

6.SOAP

7.MAIL

8.JMS

Depending upon the scenario we use the adapters, its not the question of impotance.

But in most of the cases we use File,IDOC,RFC,HTTP.

In general in a landscape, you will be using File, Idoc , RFC adapters most common.

Apart from these are third party adapters available to communicate with third-party systems. These adapters needs to be seperately deployed based on your scenario..

you have lot of inbuilt adapter rfc,idoc,file,jdbc,marketplace,jms,soap,mail,http adapters.all adapters are useful and depends on scenario.
