Logging onto the SLD

Hi from Australia All!

During the installation of Solution manager it asked us about a SLD, which we dont have, so I took the option to install one. It went for a quite a while and it seemed to work.

Except I cant log onto it via a web browser. I know the port and what the URL should be but everytime I try to log on I cant connect to it.

Infact I cant connect to the J2EE at all.

I have played with browser settings and still it wont work.

Again I am sure it will be something simple.

thanks in advance

Alex Tambellini

Hi Alex,

Is it possible that your SCS wasn't running when starting the CI?

Hi Alex,

Did you solve the problem?

Hi Alex,

this is a clear indication that java is not running. Try to start java from ABAP transaction SMICM (there, chose J2EE Server -> restart -> yes). If this doesn't help, that is no JCONTROL and/or SERVER0 processes are running, see if you can find an error in dev_jcontrol (in the instance's work directory).

Best regards,

Hi Alex,

First of all we need to know if it's a single (Java) or double(java and ABAP) stack to find out if you should logon with user j2ee_admin or administrator.

You should also have a look at you subsystem to see if the job Server0 is running.

Do you get a message from your browser when accessing the URL

http://<host>:5<sid>00/sld?

Thanks Teddy,

It is a double java and abap.

There is 2 new subsystems R3_00 which only has the following jobs: ENSERVERU

MSGSERVERU

SAPSTART

WATCHDOG

and R3_01 with the following jobs:

DISP_WORK

GWRD

ICMAN

MSG_SERVE

SAPSTART

WATCHDOG

WP00

WP01

WP02

WP03

WP04

WP05

WP06

WP07

WP08

WP09

WP10

WP11

WP12

WP13

In the QUSRWRK subsystem it has 2 jobs:

SAPSTRSRV

SAPSTRSRV

I cant find the job SERVER0.

When I try to connect the web browser comes back with cant find server error.

I hope that helps

Hi Alex,

It looks like the java stact isn't installed at all, the jobs Dispatcher, Server0 and SDM are all missing. I'm also wondering why there is no IGS!

The jobs in your SCS looks ok but in the CI several jobs are missing.

Our SLD (CI)system looks like this:

R3_65

DISP_WORK

DISPATCHER

GWRD

ICMAN

IGSWD_MT

JCONTROL

MSG_SERVER

MULTIPLEX

PORTWATCH

PORTWATCH

RSLGCOLL

RSLGSEND

SAPSTART

SDM

SERVER0

WATCHDOG

WP00 -

> WP08 (this is the default number of WP's installed) Why do you have more than that?

By the way - what version did you install?
