Search function for Sources-of-Supply

Hi all,

We are using SRM5.0 (SRM-Server5.5) and have the following question:

We plan to implement a new process which will only use freetext items 'Describe Requirements'. Therefore we need to assign Sources-of-Supply for each item / shoppingcart. Purchasing offered approx. 80 possible vendors. Unfortunately there is no search function for Sources-of-Supply and the users has to go through the list page by page which is very time consuming.

Does anyone of you know how to implement the search function without modification?

Vendor list can be maintained for the product categories and can be selected from the vendor list.

You mean I will have a search function there in the vendor list?

Do you have any documentation about maintaining / customizing vendor lists with printscreen examples how it will look like in the shopping cart?
