Work Item authentication

Hi,

Configured WS20000081 leaves workflow and published it to be used through ESS. Able to apply for a leave and a work item is getting executed successfully. When the approver is trying to execute the work item from ESS (BWSP) it is asking the approver to log on to the SAP system for service WS20000081. Most of the approvers in our org do not have logon IDs....they all are ESS Users.

How can I automatically authenticate the ESS user to execute the work item. This work item is a general task.

Please help......as it is already on Production.....I got no problems on our Development server.....may be because all the users I was trying were having logon authorizations too.

I would have thought that approvers would also need to have access to ESS, so they would need a login also wouldn't they?
