Setting Default Printer

Hi all,

while taking print from smart forms ,my print option showing some other printer,so each time i have to manually type the printer name(locating the printer).so i want set my own default printer,so that i can avoid each time locating the printer.If any one knows about this,kindly help me to resolve this problem..

The default printer for a USER is set in the User profile in SU01 transaction.

After that in your SMART Form, you get the default printer name from USR01 table or BAPI_USER_GET_DETAIL to get the printer name and pass to the smart form printer name to TDPRINTER in SSFCOMPOP.

Hi,

Santosh is right.

one more thing you can do is ..(but should be avoided)

contact your basis team so that they can change the default printer from your user profile(SU02) to that which you want.

hi,

Check out the Function module, which has automatically generated when you activate smartforms, there you will have a export parameter as Printer, uncomment that and pass the printer name there.
