TMS configuration after new system build in to landscape

Former Member

Hello,

I need some basic steps/guidelines after bringing a new QA system in to Dev->Prd landscape. Currenly the PRD instance is configured as Domain controller.

Previously there was only Dev -> PRD(Domain Controller).

Do i have to reconfigure Domain controller itself? or Just add the new system info and configure Transport route.

Once i restore QA from PRD Backup,

For QAS

1. Logon to the target system in client 000.

- Run transaction SE06 and select the radio button "Database Copy" and

click on the "execute" pushbutton.

- source system of database copy

- Answer "yes" to everything

- Change all objects from <SRCSID> to <TRTSID>

Ans "yes" for "Delete TMS configuration" & "Delete TMS transport route

2. Logon to client 000 of transport domain controller and create the system TMS configuration for QAS system.

How and when do i configure transport route? ti include the new QA system?

Please list the overall steps to get a general understanding . Any help will be appreciated with points.

Hello,

in step 2 you define the transport routes.

The simplest way to go from a two system landscape to a three system landscape is to use the standard configuration.

- Enter transaction STMS in client 000 on the transport domain controller

- goto 'Overview --> Transport routes' or 'Shift+F7'

- goto 'Configuration --> Standard configuration --> Three systems in group'

Enter the relevant data Development system, Quality assurance and Production system. Save and distribute it to the other systems and you should be done.
