Organisation level mismatch in derived role and base role.

Hi Guys,

I have created a base role which is having these open organisation levels to maintain:

1.Company code

2.Account type

3. Warehouse number

4.Division

5.Sales organisation

6.Distribution Channel

7.Plant.

But now when I'm deriving a role from above mentioned base role I'm getting only these organisations levels to maintain:

1.Company code

2.----

3. Warehouse number

4.----

5.Sales organisation

6.Distribution Channel

7.Plant.

Account type and Division is not coming up in derived role to maintain.

I'm getting only 5 values to maintain instead of 7.

Could some one please explain me why it is behaving like this ?

And what I need to do to overcome this?

Hello Saurabh,

I will not term it as any loophole from functional side or any bug in SAP as such. In my opinion it is just a problem with the buffer. The buffer update may not have happened properly. Are you doing a mass activity of parent-child role creation?.

Hi Saurabh,

This is surprising. Do one thing. Go to PFCG and go to the parent role in change mode. There use the option Generate Derived Roles (CTRLSHIFTF4).

After this check the child/derived. role

Please award points if issue got solved.

Regards.

Hi Ruchit,

Thanks a lot for a quick response.

I already did it by generating derived role option. So this is one possible solution.

But I want to know the root cause for it coz-- for some roles I'm getting all values and for some roles i'm not getting same values.

However there is not much difference in the Base roles for which I'm talking about.

Is there some loopholes from functional side? Or is it a general issue ?
