how do we configure alerts

Hi All,

i have some questions..

what is correlation and with an example would be better....

<b>how do u configure alerts in XI...</b>

as for my knowledge..TCODE:ALRTCATDEF will do...

but..in that we define container elements......for that we use BPM....

if we are not using BPM then how should we go with.....

i am now clear with alerts with BPM...

if we are not using BPM....then how can we create alerts......

You can't...

Well, you can create an exception during mapping, which results in an alert when the alert configuration in the RWB is set accordingly. But apart from that, there is no way, as far as I know.

Raghavesh,

First you need to throw exception from mapping using an User defined function. Check this url to how to do this:

or also you can trigger XI alert from user defined function. Go through this url:
