Import Transport Request Options

Hi,

1.While importing a transport request in chReq Management,i am not able to get all the options while sheduling the import request.Only 4 options are visible instead of all the 8 options.

2.While importing in ChReq management, how to have multiple client option.

Hi all,

I have rasied this query to SAP and they provided the folloing answer.

Change Request Management provides you with a system controlled

change management process for distributing software changes in a

consistent way. Therefore we are using the Change and Transport System

(CTS) in a very specialized maner:

For urgent correction the "Import Again" is set by default in order

to import these changes with a conluding import of the whole

maintenance cycle.

For the maintenance cycle imports are considered as final. Therefore

within the processes of the Change Request Management it is not

designed to do these imports again.

In the case of import errors the request will stay in the queue and

can be imported again. In the case of RC 8 errors you have to provide

a new transport to fix the errors.

As a final peace of detail: The ChaRM processes shall cover the

every day software distribution. In case of special transports or

administrator tasks it is still possible to use STMS in order to

repair a system or carry our special tasks (removals or

tranport of copies).
