while running transaction usmm for system measurement i noticed i get
results regrading 3 kinds of users - professional,limited pro,employee.
according to which principle the clasification to user types is made? -
in other words can i move user from one clasification to another
(professional to limited pro for example) or is it related to
rolesgiven to each user?.
Hello Moshe,
in transaction usmm there is a list called 'User classification'.
you get there via button or menu --> Goto --> User classification (Shift-F6).
But I think you were already there.
With a doubleclick on a user in the list you can assign another user type.
This has nothing to do with the roles which are assigned to the user.

Hello michael,
i already know how to assign user type but what i meant in my question was according to which criteria the user type clasification is made - why user x gets professional user type and user y gets limited pro user type - please correct me if i'm wrong - according to what u wrote it has nothing to do with roles then i can change user type clasification to every user without it making any damage?
regards,
Moshe
Hello Moshe,

as far as I know is this right.
The user types in transaction usmm are only for the pricing. The different user types cost different.
Hope this is right.
Regards Michael
Hello Moshe,
I don't get you. What's your problem?
User types are for pricing.
So every user type stands for a different fee you have to pay to SAP.
An user who only want to see data is cheaper than an user who want to change data.
When you do a system measurement and send the data to SAP, then they can evaluate the users with a certain user type and compute the fee for your user licenses.
Regards, Michael
p.S.: I never mentioned a test user type
Hello Michael,
I'll try to explain myself.
I know that each user type stands for a different fee.
I'm trying to arrange the status of user types in my system.I have users with professional user type, limited pro user type, and employee user type - can u please explain what each user type i mentioned stands for and which users should i classify as professional, limited pro and employee user types.
regards,
Moshe
