Hi,

What is the problem in starting the engine.

Post the developer trace .

Check whether your DB(Database) is running or not.

which database should i check.

Hi,

You should have Database Manager installed (where the engine is installed).

Login to DB Manager and check whether DB is running or not ? (Should see GREEN traffic light)

If it is not running , start the DB and restart the engine.

Hi,

For NWDS installation no need any steps.

U can double click your jdesetup and giving only jdk path and click next next only then finished . it's installed.

But for the WAS u need for follow the guide then only u can I think so.

Installation of SAP Enterprise Portal on Web AS 6.40 this is the PDF avail in service market place .

U can do it easily.

Thanks,

Lohi.
