Problem with deploying

Hallo Ladies and Gentlemen,

how can i deploy a project in sap netweaver developer studio. when i try to deploy a project, following message appears:

"cannot determine sdm host (is empty). Please configur your engine/sdm correctly."

Does anybody know how to configure it?

Hi,

It needs to be configured at the time of Portal install only it should be done.

Is you giving any password for deploying your application into j2ee server?

U need to give the SDM password if it is configured at the time of installation.

Other wise give your Admin password.

Is your application asking any SDMpassword or not let me know?

2)select preference,

3)here select SAP J2EE Engine and

4)configure the Message Server Host and Port

Hi,

Go to Window->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine and then you can give Host and port info.

We still filled in this host and port, but we need to configure the sdm host. Or is this the same? the message said, that the sdm host is empty.

Are you getting the problem after configuring the J2EE settings ??

If so please search for "SDM Host" in the forums .

But it should work if you configure the J2EE settings in the IDE.
