Hi all,
I have a generic sorce (flat file) that should be mapped to a fixed taget structure.
A lot of the source-fields are optional, so I cannot know if specifik fields are present in the source or not.
The only way to check what fields are present, is to make a check on the first 2 digits in a field, since it consists of the taget structure field number which the sorce field should be mapped to:
like this:
,03 admid, 05 Dennis, 06 Jonson, 09 NY, 15 019998873 and so on.
Could i handle this in XI?
Thank You in advance
Hi,
Pick the file with generic structure and handle the required structure either in the Adapter modules or in the Mapping.

hope this helps,

Hi Thomas,
today I would like to propose you to make this with a custom adapter module ( official docu).
This can avoid mutiple mapping.
In this way the adapter engine can send to the integration server an XML message with a structure well-defined and ready to be mapped in the final message.
Regards,
Sandro
