Hi Ashish,

>>1) What do you mean by x-App? Example please

xApps are packaged Composite Applications that are sold separately from mySAP Business Suite and Business One, with their own price tag and release schedule.

xApps are stand-alone, packaged composite applications that deliver innovative, differentiated business processes

>>2) What is teh difference between 2004 version and 2004s version?

You can check this link for more info:-

If you have Netweaver 2004s CD and its addon CD's. you will have PI 7.0, EP 7.0, BI 7.0 etc. Also refer to this link:-

You buy SAP NW2004S..You get all the components and ur license will be affected when u use the system.you can confirm in the service market place.

xapp is nothing but an applictaion that is designed using SAP CAF.

You call a application Xapp if it is built across various system boundaries.

Ex:You built a application on top of SAP EP,SAP ERP,SAP XI,SAP CRM using SAP CAF framework to serve your business needs then it is an xapps.

Have ur headphones on and listen to this you will learn everything.

xApps -

From the Help doc-

Packaged composite applications that cover multiple business solutions,

across people, information, and processes.

SAP Collaborative Cross Applications (xApps) support continuous business

innovation by leveraging existing IT assets from disparate sources to enable new cross-functional processes that are composite, collaborative, and integrative.

To build and run your own xApps, you can use SAP Composite Application Framework (CAF).

you dont buy SAP Netweaver but you actually buy SAP Netweaver components. So you have to go separately for XI, MDM etc.
