Saving a Layout

Dear MDM Gurus,

How do save a layout which I have associated with a family.

In the Layout mode,under the menu option LAYOUT I do see an option of SAVE LAYOUT but it is disabled.

I have the publisher and DTP Installed with the plugins.

Using MDM SP3

My requirement is such thatmy company might do a Layout for particular family in one way today based on a partitioned field say FIELDA1

Tomm. based on a different business need .....may have to partition by field FIELDB1 which would have a different layout.

Then if we partition by FieldA1 again the original Layout associated with FIELDA1

is LOST.

Hi Hari,

In SP4 Publisher, there is a way to create a template for a specific family and apply it to many other families in the family hierarchy or publication hierarchy.
