Retention for STAD records

Hi,

This is related to BI 7.0 on AIX and Oracle.

The records are getting deleted automatically from STAD. I have learned that the retention period for STAD is based on the setting.

I am not able to find the setting. Is it done in ST03 or using a profile parameter?

I went to ST03 in Expert mode and expanded all the oprion under "Collector and Performance DB" where most of the parameters are there. I could not find anything specific STAD.

Please let me if anybody has any idea about this setting.

Hello Surender,

in Release 7x the retention period of the single statistic records (the stat files) is defined by the parameter

stat/max_files

The default is 48 which means each instance helds 48 statistic files. As each hour a new stat file is written you have always 48 hours available to analyze in transaction STAD.
