Error Install SAP Netweaver 2004s ABAP Trial version

Hello,

I receive every time an error during installation on my system (Windows XP SP2 + Loopback Adapter):

Although I installed the loopback adapter with fixed IP address 10.10.0.10 like described in the manual.

I also adjusted the Windows/system32/drivers/etc HOSTS file with:

127.0.0.1 localhost

10.10.0.10 localhost

Does anybody has the same problem ?

Possible solution ?

Try uninstalling maxDB unders windows > Start > Programs and starting again!

After this error message, the installation aborts and does a succesful uninstall by itself ... So I don't have an entry in Start -> Programs ....

It's worth checking the registry then.

I had this problem and it didn't fully uninstall itself.

I did some adjustments to the host file, and now I reveive following error in the MaxDBSAPNWPREV.log:

(I do have Windows XP Professional SP2)
