Where can i see SAP system log in Unix?(i.e the location of System log in UNIX)

Hi dharan,

you can check the log's from /usr/sap//work

file system, Here you will find all the work process logs and dispatcher log and message server logs.. Let me know if you need further help

Hi Bharan,

If you mean the SAP logs as the logs if the Message server, dispatcher and wp it's at,

/usr/sap/<sid>/DVEBMGSXX/work

You can specify your own pathname:

Parameter

Definition

rslg/central/file

Specifies the active central log filename. The default filename is:

SLOGJ

rslg/central/old_file

Specifies the old central log filename. When a log switch occurs, the active log file is copied onto the old log file. The default filename is:

SLOGJO

rslg/local/file

Specifies the local log filename. The default filename is:

SLOG<SAPSYSTEM number>
