reason for 500 Dispatching error

Hi,

We are getting the below error in the Portal. All the SAP system are working from GUI. But from portal we are facing this problem. After restarting it worked. But How can know the reason for this error. Kinldy help me in this regard.

Its better to go for dispatcher trace file on that particular instance.

We are on SAP EP 7.00 release with SP08 on Sun Solaris with Oracle 10g.

our SAP EP production server gets down twice in a day since 15-20 days. We are getting following error,

While executing our EP url "ess.xxx.com" we get the error "500 Dispatching Error" and Error - cann't release syncronization semaphore" & "cann't create shared segment" in dev_sdm, dev_serverx(all nodes) and dev_dispatcher on SAP EP server.

After restarting SAP EP server, It works fine.

What could be the problem? Which logs do we need to check?

Please guide on the same.

Your help would be great to us.

Hi Vipul,

Can you check the IIS logs and post it here.So that I can get to know more about the Problem.

It will be under..

<drive>:\DATA\web\scripts\IisProxy_<number>.log

You can find the default trace under <drive>:\usr\sap\<SID>\<instance name>\j2ee\cluster\<Server Name>\log\defaultTrace.trc

Try to do IISreset.

Go to command prompt of the server >type "iisreset".

Or just write a script to reset iis periodically.
